- Innovative: Restored 2 More is dedicated to finding new and innovative ways to help individuals and couples experience restoration. We believe more research is needed, and we are committed to finding the best ways to support individuals and couples to experience healing.
Our Beliefs
We believe God created the bond, enjoyment, and commitment of marriage to symbolize the Gospel. When a man and woman are called into a covenant relationship, they are entrusted with an incredible gift and purpose.
Unfortunately, like us, most couples are under-prepared and ill-equipped for the pathway to experiencing a fulfilling, enjoyable and purposeful marriage. In addition to that, our marriage was tainted by unresolved sexual brokenness and sexual addiction that nearly ended our marriage in divorce. We had never been taught God’s design for sex and how both man and women were created as sexual beings to enjoy sex and experience its beauty, bonding and exciting attributes in the context of marriage.
Unfortunately, our view of sex was skewed by culture, lack of biblical explanation and negative personal experience. Today we speak out about the incredible gift of sex and how both spouses were created to enjoy sex and experience it as a beautiful godly gift for both a husband and wife.
Through extensive study, recovery and restoration we have come to be advocates for the post-traumatic growth model being witnesses and beneficiaries of Gods ability to rebuild our marriage and enable us to become Restored 2 More. It was out of this transformation that we came to understand how the gospel plays a significant part in our marriage and can lead us on how to cultivate our love for one another.
The Gospel is simple yet profound. When we study it, we see the desire of God to be one with his Church, the crisis of the human race choosing sin and self over His goodness, and then an amazing work of redemption in the gift of Jesus’ sacrifice. When comparing it to marriage, we see similar attributes and challenges: desire, pursuit, intimacy, betrayal, crisis, sacrifice, redemption, restoration, and sanctification. Thus, we believe that God uses a Christ-centered marriage for a greater purpose, and when it is aligned with His design, it is more than merely enjoyable and satisfying. It reflects Christ’s love and is a symbol that points people to the Gospel of Jesus.
